Meet our Doctor

Kevin P. Matthews, DDS

Dr. Matthews was born in Subic Bay, Philippines and is the oldest of three children. Growing up in a Marine Corps family, he spent most of his time in Annapolis, Md. and Camp Lejeune, NC. After graduating from High School he joined the Marine Corps and served for 8 years in the Reserve. Dr. Matthews attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. In 1998 he graduated from the School of Dentistry at UNC and then went in to private practice as an associate dentist before opening his own office in 2004. Dr. Matthews enjoys practicing dentistry in a small private practice setting where he is able to spend plenty of time with each patient. He and his team believe that this is important in creating a comfortable environment for patients and it enables them to deliver close personal attention to treatment to help you maintain your natural teeth for a lifetime.

Dr. Matthews is married to Alice Stevens Matthews of Winston-Salem, NC and they have three young children, Colin, Finn and Molly. They live in Bahama and they are active in their church and enjoy many outdoor activities.
